The first public hearing on the amendments to the implementing rules and regulations of the Philippine Technology Transfer Act of 2009 (R.A No. 10055) was held last December 12 at Berjaya Hotel Makati. The public hearings are being organized in line with the effort to make the law more responsive as there are some issues and concern in its implementation. The said event also aims to gather comments from the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), technology professionals and stakeholders on the proposed revision on the IRR of RA 10055.
The public hearing was conducted by the Technical Working Group members (TWG). The second and third hearings are scheduled on December 11 & 18, to be held at Cebu and Davao City, respectively.
